CCI Trading - Horizontal Trendline Break Japanese Yen Futures 6J

The HTLB is one of the tougher traders to master, so I think it is helpful to have a second example. You may click here for the original HTLB example.

The chart above is the Japanese Yen from the wee hours of 3/3/05. This pattern started as an elongated VT, but developed into an HTL, which happens frequently. Notice the positive divergence between price and the CCI. The entry is on the first arrow, but many advanced traders might do an add on the support (old resistance/new support) of the HTL at the second arrow.

The HTLB is one of the riskier patterns in the WCCI system. As with any futures trading technique, always use stops when trading the HTLB pattern.
